BRANDS WITH CHARACTER

01 — The Group

Five brands. One group.

Napkin Affair was founded in Kuwait in 2011 by Dawood Albader and Rashed Alfoudari. From the outset, product development and spatial design were considered together, with each brand developed as a complete business across its product, identity, space, and operating model.

The group has since developed five distinct food and beverage brands operating across Kuwait. Product direction, brand development, spatial design, and day-to-day operations are led by the group, allowing each brand to retain its own character while drawing on shared experience and resources.

All-day Latin dining

Mana moves from breakfast into fresh pita tacos, burgers, steaks, ribs, and tableside guacamole. The menu is built around fresh ingredients and open-fire cooking, while the interiors reinterpret familiar references in a contemporary setting.

Inside Mana

Past references, made present.

Mana draws on the warmth of earlier Latin dining rooms without recreating them. Stone, timber, and open-fire cooking give the space its character, while tableside guacamole introduces a simple ritual to the service.

Contemporary North Indian

Cardamom Club presents North Indian cooking through a contemporary lens, with slow-cooked curries, tandoor dishes, rice, breads, and chutneys shaped by regional and historical references.

Inside The Cardamom Club

Time does the work.

Slow cooking gives the menu its depth: curries developed over hours, biryani prepared in layers, and spice used for character rather than heat alone. Brass, smoke, and deep colour carry the same richness into the space, while cardamom appears across the menu in less expected ways.

Contemporary Southeast Asian

Ubon is rooted in Thai cooking, with a broader Southeast Asian outlook. Curries, noodles, rice, salads, and house signatures come together in a menu that feels familiar, current, and distinctly Ubon.

Slow curries, fast woks.

Ubon’s cooking moves between slow-cooked curries, high-heat wok dishes, fresh herbs, and layered sauces. Thai foundations remain clear, while the menu leaves room for broader Southeast Asian influences.
